Two-pagers on two-stagers

Two-stage collaborative exams are a winner: Students both like them and learn from them.  I’ve been collecting folk wisdom and implementation tips around two-stage exams, wondering what information exists to support instructors who may be unsure how to use them.

Two-pagers:

  1. The Earth and Ocean Science – Science Education Initiative Times, February 2011. (Focuses on the what and why of two-stage exams.)
  2. Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative (CWSEI) – PHYS & ASTRO Newsletter, Summer 2012. (Focuses on the what and why of two-stage exams.)
  3. The Earth and Ocean Science – Science Education Initiative Times, November 2013. (Focuses on the how of two-stage exams.)
  4. Two-stage exams (CWSEI two-pager). (Focuses on the how of two-stage exams.)

In addition to these two-pagers, there are some nice example videos at the CWSEI website and at a separate UBC Science video collection.
